Application Support Specialist - SAP Finance to Close (SAP FI)
As a member of the Support Team in the Finance to Close (F2C) area, you will provide exceptional support to business users by troubleshooting and resolving daily issues in the SAP FI (Financial Accounting) and SAP CO (Controlling) modules. Your role is crucial in maintaining system integrity, enhancing user productivity, and ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes.
What you'll do
- Investigate, resolve, and escalate Finance and Controlling module tickets with Global Process Owners, ensuring seamless support for business users.
- Perform periodic closing activities and manage mass changes in the FICO area to maintain system integrity.
- Resolve MXP (mobile expense) related issues and conduct audit data extraction.
- Maintain and optimize job tasks within the FICO area.
- Act as a ticket owner, maintaining high-quality communication with the business and achieving a high 2nd level resolution rate with thorough documentation.
- Assess incidents and service requests, resolving them in line with internal procedures and authorization levels, and collaborate with 3rd level support as needed.
- Work closely with Global Service Desk Agents to ensure effective incident management.
- Analyze and prepare test cases in Quality systems, ensuring robust system functionality.
- Comply with procedures, segregation of duties, and service levels, while contributing to knowledge management.
- Perform additional activities as assigned by your Stream Leader, supporting continuous improvement and excellence in service delivery.
Who you are
- SAP Expertise: Excellent understanding of processes, customization in SAP Finance and Controlling, and integration with modules such as Sales, Logistics, and Reporting. 5+ years of experience in SAP FICO modules as IT Support.
- Technical Skills: Experience with ABAP debugger to identify SAP errors, knowledge of customizing in FICO areas, and familiarity with Solution Manager for change implementation. Knowledge of LSMW and SAP Basis (printers, monitoring, maintenance, system overload analysis) would be an asset.
- Process Experience: Experienced in business month/year closure processes.
- Service Management: Knowledge of ITIL Service Management principles is advantageous.
- Language Skills: Proficient in fluent English, with knowledge of German considered an asset.
- Educational Background: University degree in IT, Finance, or a related field.
- Soft Skills: Clear service orientation, good communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
